About the Trust

Rotorua Montessori Primary Trust

In July 2000, we opened the first and Montessori classroom unit in Rotorua.

Our Charitable Trust, the Rotorua Montessori Primary Trust, is run by parent volunteers who are committed to ensuring Montessori Education thrives in Rotorua.

We are seeking like-minded individuals to join us in achieving our vision. If you have interests Communications, Fundraising, or Project Management, we would love to hear from you.

Contact us to find out how you can contribute as a volunteer or Trustee.

The RMPT has two main roles: educating parents and the community about the Montessori, and supporting the effective operation of both Malfroy school and the Montessori unit.

Trustee meetings are held monthly during the school year, and parents are welcome to attend by emailing the trust to confirm the meeting time and venue.

The current trustees as of May 2024 areL

Andrew Dunningham (Chair), Megan Romanes (Treasurer), Marieke Carson (Secretary), and supported by Ashleigh Morris and Becky Sansom.

The RMPT was established in 1999 thanks to the passion of two parents, Vicki Hodder and Anna Marie Stanger, who sought to bring Montessori education in Rotorua beyond preschool.
